Bodied, A Poem for National Poetry Month
It’s National Poetry Month! April is about sharing and appreciating poems, poets, and the love of writing. To celebrate, I’m sharing a poem from my upcoming poetry collection. During the last few months of 2019 and into the new year, I’ve been gathering my poems and creating all new ones for my very first poetry volume! I have more great news to come, for now, please enjoy Bodied.

I wanted to share Bodied specifically as a reminder to value what’s important in our lives. It’s so easy to get distracted by things that really don’t deserve our attention. Now, it’s like we’re all being asked to pause as this Earth School gets a little more challenging. I feel like Earth needed a moment to breathe again too. I mentioned in a previous post that humanism must be the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic and this is also a time to re-learn what’s important: we get one life, one body — how will we make the most of it?
